A more contained version of the Developmental Edit, this is a good first step if you want to get an idea of what is working in your manuscript and where it can stand to improve. Hanna will evaluate your pages for story structure, character arc, pacing, voice etc. and give you general feedback (with some specific examples from the text) so that you can return to your manuscript and make the revisions on your own.

Starting the same way as an Editorial Assessment, this edit goes much further and includes a Tracked Changes edit of your manuscript. You will see Hanna's advice applied on the page with suggested edits and/or questions and comments on areas that could use improvement. Equally important, Hanna will highlight what is working so that you can see where your strengths are and apply them throughout the book. At the end, you'll have detailed instructions and on-the-page specific examples for how to revise your manuscript.

To be done only once you're happy with the big picture issues in your story (i.e. you've already done a developmental edit), this is the stage at which Hanna addresses your use of language. If you need someone to help make your writing tighter on a line level, correct run-on sentences, point out inconsistencies and help you find a better word for "nice," then this is the edit for you.
